Icechipper November 02, 2021 for Model Number RS261MDBP/XAA Compressor will not run. The compressor is good, I got it to run with a 3 in one hard start unit. I also got the compressor to run by jumping compressor and com one. Does any of the sensors or thermal fuse keep the compressor from running.
1 Answer Icechipper, The compressor should be operated by the inverter board. Check to see that you have power from the board to the compressor. Read More...
Chris September 25, 2018 for Model Number rfg238aars have a bad thermos fuse no continuity. Have ordered new one, noticed a white bracket attached to evaporator that holds fuse.it is easier to pop this bracket off to replace fuse or remove fuse from bracket. don't want to move evaporator if possible. thanks
1 Answer Chris, Either way, whatever is easiest for you. If you do pop off you might use a wire tie to reattach, some clips loosen sometimes and won't stay on. Read More...
Dan April 11, 2016 for Model Number RS261MDRS What is the purpose of the thermo sensor and how do you check it?
1 Answer Hello Dan. It is a thermal fuse and should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
