Kerry June 06, 2016 for Model Number U-line B195BTB-03 I have a uline ice maker that is not filling the ice trays with water. is there a way to check the valve - your part number AP5970800 to see mine is defective?
1 Answer Kerry, You will want to cycle the icemaker and check to see if the water valve is getting 120 vac to it. If it is then the issue will be the valve and if no power then the icemaker would be the issue. Read More...

Aj B. May 03, 2012 for Model Number KITCHENAID SUPERBA 42 Does this valve control water to the icemaker? My icemaker has been freezing in the line and into the bincausing a big ice chunk.
1 Answer Hello AJ, You are correct. This valve provides the water for the icemaker. Be aware that there is no spring inside it to aid it in its' closure. It is closed purely by water pressure. It would be a very good idea to check the water pressure to the unit at the water line where it connects to the water valve. If the pressure is low, the valve will be slow to close. Replacing the valve will not correct the issue if the water pressure to the valve is low. Be aware also that if a set of contacts in the icemaker are sticking, the mold heater could be actuated for too long and actually melting the ice in the bin. I would have included part numbers but you didn't include the model number, so this wasn't possible. If you would like us to look the numbers up for you, repost with the model numbers and part descriptions and we will be happy to oblige. Read More...
