• Disconnect power and water supply; wear cut-resistant gloves.
• Remove the fabric softener dispenser and inner cap, then remove the agitator bolt to lift off the old auger.
• Inspect/replace the agitator dogs and cam while servicing; transfer reusable caps if applicable.
• Align the splines, seat the new auger, reinstall the bolt and caps, and test agitation.
