Randall February 04, 2012 for Model Number 106.8253050 How can I test Defrost Thermostat/Bi-metal P/N 4387489 Whirlpool, and Defrost timer P/N 482473?
1 Answer Hello Randall. The bi-metal WP4387489 should read closed for continuity when cold, and the timer W10822278 should send power to the thermostat and the heater when turned to the defrost cycle. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
