The Stove Top Drip Pan is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ranges. It is the shallow metal pan located below the stove burner elements that collects grease and food particles. The drip pan helps direct spills and drips away from the burner area to the bottom drawer for easy cleanup.

Symptoms of a bad drip pan include:

  • Grease or food spilling below the burners outside of the pan
  • Burner elements showing signs of corrosion or damage from drips
  • The drip pan no longer fitting properly or securely in place

Causes can be warping or damage of the drip pan over time due to exposure to heat. Dents and structural changes compromise its ability to direct drips properly.

This OEM replacement part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

If you require a compatible 6-inch drip bowl, suggest considering our WPW10196406 model for a perfect fit. For a black option include the 6-inch W10290353RW and 8-inch WPW10290350 models.

Hello Ivy! You can try using rust remover W10278629 to clear up the existing rust on the appliance. Keep the top clear of any liquids and dry at all times and make sure that the area stays clean. Hope this helps you!

Ivy P. for Model Number RF114PXSO 3

My first set of burner bowls rusted very quickly and caused the part of the electric range just beneath them to begin to rust as well. Some of the products used to prevent or delay rusting are clearly marked 'flammable' and obviously cannot be used. Is it safe to use the ones that warn only about irritation to the eyes, skin etc., but say nothing about being flammable? I would expect to use any product hours before lighting the range, of course, and certainly not when it is in use.

Hello Ivy. No, you do not need to use any rust preventers on the drip pans WPW10196405. If they start to rust, it is best to replace them. Hope this helps.
