David W. June 06, 2017 for Model Number KESS908SPS00 I have a cracked glass cooktop and I want to replace it with your part W10285077 (AP4507822), I looked up on your site, the top part picture measures 31.5" approximately while the bottom part measures approximately 30.75". I took the actual measurement of my cooktop glass and it measures 30.75" x 22.5" approximately. Can you verify if it is the correct part/size for me? By the way, it is a four-burner cooktop with cluster control on the lower right hand corner, just like your picture. Hopefully it is the right one so I can order from you. Thank you

Bob March 12, 2014 for Model Number Ykess908ss05 I need to replace the glass top which cracked and I see that the same part is universal for all similar models despite a different configuration of elements between the ykess908ss00 and my model. I am wondering if the universal part has element markings like the original or what? The original glass looks like all markings including controls are on the top of the glass?? Will the new part have no markings?
1 Answer Hello Bob! The cooktop listed for your model is part number W10285077. This is a manufacturer replacement and should have the same writing and marking configurations to match the original. Thanks. Read More...
Ron December 18, 2013 for Model Number KESS908SPS00 I have stainless/black top KitchenAid oven, slide in with controls on the top right and front, no backsplash, model number KESS908SPS00. The cooktop glass is cracked and I need to replace. Is the "AP4507822" the proper replacement or is there a different part? Thanks! Ron.
Barry June 04, 2012 for Model Number KESS908SPS02 The glass cooktop is cracked. I'd want to replace it with your part# AP4507822. How difficult is it to remove the old and install the new part? I can easily slide the oven out of the counter for access to all sides. Do replacement instructions come with the new part? I consider myself to be an experienced handyman.
1 Answer Hello Barry. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Pull the range out of its mounting location so that you can access the rear of the unit. 3. Remove the control panel and rotate it forward. 4. Remove the screws from the left and right side trim, and then from the rear trim. Remove the trim pieces from around the cooktop glass. 5. Remove the cooktop glass brackets from the left and right sides of the range. 6. Lift the rear of the cooktop glass off the range, slide it out from under the front control bracket, and remove it.
