Dale H May 24, 2015 for Model Number GHW9150PWO When the washer goes into the spin cycle it starts wobbling and knocking like someone is hitting it with a hammer. It doesn't matter what size the load is.
1 Answer Dale, There are a couple of possibilities of what could be going on. You will want to check the shocks to make sure that they are not damaged. Open the door of the unit and push up on the tub of the unit, make a 1/3 rotation and do the same thing til you go all the way around. If there is any lateral motion of the inner tub from the outer tub then the spider is broken and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Rich L. March 03, 2012 for Model Number 110.42932.200 Out of Balance condition - Changed the 4 shocks, checked both counter weights - front and rear both are ok ( I have no idea how this systems works with different weight loads :) ), Check rear bearing for looseness - ok.. As soon as it starts to spin the basket will start to shake left to right... The only thing I can think of now are the 2 supporting springs... Your suggestions would be appreciated to resolve this issue - Oh yes - 1" plywood under the washing machine ..
1 Answer Hello Rich. Make sure nothing is between the inner and outer tubs. If not, the the bearing is the problem, and you will need to replace the outer tub assembly W10772618. Usually the springs do not cause this problem. Hope this helps. Read More...
