Cynthia July 03, 2014 for Model Number MH7140XFB What are the steps for installing the inlet cover (stir cover part number 4393750 apparently changed to 8184604) to the Whirlpool microwave oven? What is the sandpaper for? Thank you, Cynthia. 07/03/2014
1 Answer Cynthia, There are pins in the cover that will be removed when you pull the old cover down. When installing the new cover you will put it up and put the pins in it. Read More...
Ken April 20, 2013 for Model Number 66568601891 I ordered a new inlet cover, part# 8184604, and it came with two plastic covers, one solid white, the other transparent yellow. No instructions but what I have found on internet explains what to do with sandpaper, cleaning cloths and sealant. My question is do I need both covers? I suspect the solid white one is the one I need to use and throw away the clear yellow one. There is no way both covers can be used. Can you provide better instructions?
1 Answer Hello Ken, You are correct. You will need to use the cover that more closely resembles the one in the unit originally. It is quite important to get all grease and food particles out of the area before the installation of the new cover. Also let the unit set for 24 hours before use as the sealant will cure better naturally since it will form bubbles if you use the unit before it is cured. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Kat, It appears that both part numbers have the same parts in them. The difference between the 2 is the 8184582 has the fixed thermostat in it. and the 8184604 does not. Read More...
Bree B October 03, 2012 for Model Number 665.60617000 I ordered Item Number: AP3139768 and it doesn't look anything like the one I am replacing however the holes line up so I'm assuming it's a similiar and usable part but I don't know how to attach it. What do I do with the sandpaper and adhesive that was shipped with the part. Can someone email me directions for installation?
