Roy for Model Number WED49STBW1

I have had a terrible time diagnosing an issue with this 3-yr old dryer. It will run for about 3-5 minutes and then shut off. After a bit, it will turn on but it will do the same thing. Here is what I've done so far: 1. Replaced the thermal fuse and hi-limit, hoping that would be the easy fix. It wasn't. 2. Internet search pointed to the motor. Replaced. The problem remains, though I'm poorer now and apparently have two working motors. 3. During the process, the push to start switch went out, as it would not start at all. Replaced and works. 4. Drum and blower turn easily. 5. All thermostats and the heating element check for continuity. 6. The dryer runs fine on "air dry." I am suspecting either the thermal cutoff or the dryer cycle thermostat. However, I have the impression from the research that these will not shut off the dryer, just the heating element. Any help would be appreciated more than I can express! Thank you.

Roy, I suspect you are losing voltage from your house service panel. Take your multimeter and check for 240 volts at the terminal block of your dryer. You can see this by touching one lead to the black wire, the other lead to red. Hold the leads in place and start the dryer in a heat mode cycle. Watch the voltage to see if it drops when the dryer cuts off.
