Kc July 27, 2020 for Model Number JMV8000BAS

Jen-Air over range microwave went completely dead. So I replaced the fuse MDA20 20A 125V The microwave began to work The next day I heated up a cup of water and when I put another one in to heat up the microwave stopped before finishing and it was blinking something on the display but I opened the door and the display disappeared and the microwave went completely dead again I heard a sound like one click after this happen. Do you know what could be wrong this time Thank you for your help

KC, You will want to check the door switches on the unit as they will be the most likely cause for the fuse to blow.

Doc July 27, 2020 for Model Number JMV8000BAS

Microwave went dead replaced ceramic fuse it began to work again Next day used it to heat up a cup of water twice and it just stopped working Something was on the screen blinking but I did not get a chance to see what it stated When I opened the door everything went dead again and I heard a sound like one click.

The high voltage diode (called wire-voltage assy I guess) P'N - W10269016 has blown twice on my unit. I believe a bad design with under spec diode part. Any recommended replacement or design change notice by Whirlpool? Is this typical? Any price reduction if I buy 2? JE

Hello Jim, The high voltage diode is most likely blowing because of another component in the circuit that is out of tolerance. This can be the high voltage capacitor, the high voltage transformer, or even the magnetron. As a general rule, if one component in a circuit is blowing, there is an excessive current flow through the entire circuit and other components in the circuit be damaged.

My over-the-range Maytag microwave, #MMV4205AAQ, runs but does not heat anything. I have replaced the magnetron and the diode and it still does not work. What else could be the problem? If I have to put much more money into it, I may as well return the parts and get a new microwave. Thanks, your help is appreciated.

Hello Christine. You need to check the H.V. Transformer. It will cause a no heat issue.

Lp November 21, 2012 for Model Number ACO1560A

This Amana over the range micro makes a humming/buzzing sound as the turntable rotates, but does not heat. Internet troubleshooting suggests that it might be a bad diode. Do you have a video that would describe diode replacement?

Hello Lp. Sorry, there is no video at this time for diode replacement. It sounds like the diode and the magnetron will need to be replaced in the unit.
