Tyrone September 21, 2023 I checked to see if the board was sending power to the motor, it is. However, the motor is not turning. Should I replace the motor?Model:BYCWD6274W3
1 Answer Tyrone, if the drum belt is removed and there is not an obstruction in the blower housing, the motor should be able to rotate freely. If it does not, the motor would need to be replaced. Read More...
1 Answer Zach, the motor can be tested for 120VAC during a cycle when it is accessed and the door switch is activated (when plugged in). If there is a belt switch, the idler would need to be removed. If the motor receives voltage and does not operate, it has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Larry. Remove the toe panel. Remove the dryer lint screen. Remove the dryer lint duct assembly. Remove the blower assembly, transition duct, and blower plate by removing screws. Using a ratchet, hold the drive motor shaft stationary, remove the blower wheel. It is reverse threaded and needs to be turned clockwise. Remove blower housing, drive belt, motor wiring, and the belt switch. Now remove motor brackets and remove the motor in the unit. Read More...
