Freezerburn July 03, 2011 for Model Number ET22DKXAW02 How do you check for operation? When should the fan be on? What has to be removed to replace the fan?
1 Answer Hello Freezerburn. The fan should be on when the compressor is running. If you open the freezer door and the fan motor is not running, but the compressor is running, you will need to test and see if there is power coming to the evaporator fan motor 482731. If so, you will need to replace the fan motor. To access it, you will need to remove the back wall of the inside of the freezer. Once removed, you can access and replace the fan motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
