Pepper April 29, 2013 for Model Number ET18PKXGWO and gasket/seal part # = 2159057 I'm surprised at how much (~$75) this seal costs, but if that's the best deal on a seal that will fit, I'll do what is necessary. I have tried to get the old seal off (no screws) and cannot extract even a bit. Went to a store to see if I could remove the seal on a new refrigerator (same type, I think), and it came out ok. Do I need to warm up the old seal with perhaps hair dryer? hot cloths?
1 Answer Pepper, The seal goes behind the door liner and to remove the seal you will pull outward on the seal to release it from the foam insulation that is holding it. Once you get the seal out the new seal has a ridge that goes behind the liner and locks into place. Read More...
