The Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This gasket forms a seal around the freezer door, preventing warm air from entering and maintaining the internal temperature. The gasket measures approximately 20.83" x 34.45".

Causes of a bad door gasket can include wear and tear over time, accidental damage, or hardening and cracking due to age. A compromised gasket can lead to temperature fluctuations and increased energy consumption as the appliance struggles to maintain the desired temperature.

Symptoms of a bad Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket include:

  • Frost buildup inside the freezer
  • Excessive condensation or moisture around the door
  • The door not closing tightly
  • Increased energy bills due to the refrigerator working harder

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

For Whirlpool Freezer Door Gasket (Gry) (Part Number: OEM16961397)

Barry for Model Number 59672383411

Hello and appreciate your help. Can you please tell me how this gasket installs on the freezer drawer. I have tried to removed the existing gasket and it appears to be sealed (almost as if it were molded) between the metal door and the plastic drawer molding. I even had a service technician out and he stated that the entire door would have to be replaced. Can you please look at this gasket in stock and advise if you think this can be easily replaced. Thank you so much.

Barry, the freezer door gasket W10407216 would pull out from in between the inner and outer liner of the door. Often, the gasket is installed before the insulation is put in at the manufacturer and some of the insulation gets between the gasket and the liners, this will pull free. The new gasket should have a slightly rigid insert tab that would be pressed into place.
