Russ March 05, 2022 for Model Number KP26M1XNP5 Our KitchenAid mixer stopped working and made quite a bit of noise. I took the main cover off and also the transmission cover. Turns out that the bevel gear and also the accessory drive gear had a few broken off teeth. The worm gear, the worm follower gear and the planetary gears looked just fine. We never used the accessory drive (we don't even have any accessories to install), why then did the two beveled gears get damaged?
