Tina S March 26, 2023 for Model Number MVWB750WQ1 Does the filter have anything to do with the machine not draining water and showing code "LD"? Also, are there any videos to change the filter? Thank you!
1 Answer Tina S, The filter could cause a slow or long drain if it is plugged up with lint or foreign items, unfortunately, I don't have a video for this part. Read More...
Whoopie November 25, 2018 for Model Number WTW8240YW0 Hello, it's whoopie again. I repaced all the dispenser hoses and related parts. I have replaced the water control valve. The machine leaks water down the front of the machine cabinet. It looks like the water is spashing from the detergent dispensor. It only leaks during filling of wash cycle or the rinse cycle. no other place on the machine has a drop of water anywhere on or about it The water collects on the bottom rim of the machine and drips from there. Hope you can figure it out. I have figured out to buy a different brand of machne for less money. Then when it needs parts just throw the macine away and pay for another machine. This machine has cost me more in repairs and parts to the point that if I had followed these instructions myself I would be money ahead. GOOD LUCK.
1 Answer Whoopie, It would be recommended to try to to lower the water pressure coming into the unit. It may be that the pressure is too high causing the unit to leak. Read More...
Whoppie May 23, 2018 for Model Number WTW8240YW0 Small intermittent water leak at the front near the center. Seems to dripping off around the lip around the inside of the cabinet. Doesn’t leak on the first load. The begins on the second load of the day.
1 Answer Whoppie, You will want to open the main top of the unit and check the hoses going to the dispenser to make sure that it is not damaged or loose. To do this there will be 2 brackets on the back of the unit and you will remove the top screw from the bracket. Slide the main top forward and then lift and slide it back slightly. Check all hoses to make sure that there is no damage to them. Read More...
Timd September 26, 2016 for Model Number MAYTAG BRAVO WASHER # MVWB750WQ0 My Maytag washer is not filling with water. I have replaced the hoses and the water inlet valve assembly, which I bought from your company. I also check the pumps to see that they were not binding in any way. The washer will operate only in the drain/spin setting. What's my next step? I noticed on the schematic that there is a filter on or in the tub somewhere, could that be the problem. We purchased the washer about 6 years ago. We have city water which has no hardness issues. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
1 Answer Tim, The most likely cause of the unit not filling with water will be a faulty main control board. the part number that you would need is WPW10253697. Read More...
Selma November 08, 2015 for Model Number WTW7600XW0 The agitator is not spinning and the basket is not spinning. There is an error code SD (5D). Another question was answered by suggesting the following; 1) Check pressure hose for clogs 2) Check for clogs between inner and outer tubs 3) Check the pump for clogs. Could someone tell me how to do those three checks? Thanks in advance
1 Answer Hello Selma. You will need to access the inside of the control panel for the pressure hose and then lean the unit back to access the pump and lower hoses. Remove the clamps and check them and blow air through the pressure hose. Read More...
