Once the dishwasher does start up the dishwasher fills and when it stops filling you hear a pulsating sound for some time and then goes away. Could there be something blocking the pump? Thank You

Bruce October 17, 2022 for Model Number Whirl pool/ model WDT710PAYM4 This is my question. When I go to turn a dishwasher on all the lights that I’ve chosen go on hit start close the door and nothing happens. A few minutes later I look into the dishwasher and there’s a little bit of water on the bottom of the dishwasher. Still nothing happens when I go to restart it again or hit resume. Do you have any idea what may be causing this problem so I can rectify the problem and fix it. Thank you in advance
1 Answer Hello Bruce, on start up the drain pump should have started and run a little while to drain any existing standing water in the tub before the water valve opens for the initial fill.
