The Idler Pulley Wheel & Arm Assembly is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. It plays an important support role by providing additional tension on the drive belt during spin cycles to ensure balanced operation. Proper belt tension is necessary for the smooth rotation of the wash basket.

Symptoms of a faulty assembly include:

  • Vibration or shaking during high-speed spins
  • Loud clunking or grinding noises from unbalanced loads
  • Premature belt wear due to insufficient tension
  • Error codes related to spin function issues

Causes can be wear over time, belt slippage damaging the idler wheel, or stiffness impairing proper tensioning.

This OEM Whirlpool replacement is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
