Lee February 15, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore Series 70 20722-990 I'm trying to pull the inner tub to clean the outer plastic tub, as it's releasing black gunk (grease and fibers) onto the clothes. I'm having trouble getting the inner tub out. It seems it's stuck on the shaft. I've taken off the agitator, spanning nut, and when I try to lift the basket out, it won't come out. I've used PB blaster. It comes up about 1/4" on the shaft then it seems to hit metal against metal and won't come up any further. Is there any kind of clip or retainer that I can't see? Thanks in advance for your help.
1 Answer Lee, The only way to try to get this inner tub would would be to rock the inner tub inside the outer tub. It sounds like it may be stuck on the drive block and no other way to remove this. Read More...

Cindi December 11, 2015 for Model Number 110.82870100 Is the main body of this replacement tub made of porcelain over steel or another material like plastic (I'm referring to the main portion of the tub where all the holes are, not the plastic ring at the top of the tub)? I'm also trying to find a replacement for the plastic lint filter that sits under/on the bottom of the inner tub - it's a round ring about 14" in diameter that looks kind of like a comb. I see it in part diagrams but can't find the part. Can you help identify this part and/or tell me if it's needed with the new replacement inner tub? Thanks
