Will December 27, 2012 for Model Number KCMS1555SSS-2 I need to replace the interior lamp - seems to have burned out. I read in other responses on the site, that this will be near a high voltage area of the microwave. Can you please elaborate or any suggestions how to avoid the high voltage components? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Will. Make sure the power is disconnected and do not touch the HV transformer, magnetron, diode, or capacitor. You shouldn't be near them changing the bulb in the unit. Read More...
R Khan January 27, 2012 for Model Number MT4155SPS What is the easiest way to remove the outer cover. I have this microwave in cabinet. I have removed the grill by removing 4 screws. I do see the outer black shell, but how to remove it.
1 Answer Khan, You will need to be very careful, you'll be in the high voltage area of the microwave. Here's some basic help " 1.Disconnect the electrical power to the icrowave oven. 2.Remove the two outer screws from the top of the cabinet. 3.Pull the top of the air grille forward, lift the bottom tabs from the slots, and remove the grille from the microwave oven.4.Lift the oven lamp mounting bracket by its tab and remove the lamp assembly from the mounting location. NOTE: Be careful not to break the fragile wire socket connectors." Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
