This drum baffle is the internal lifter that attaches to the rotating drum to raise and tumble laundry as it turns. Replacing a cracked, loose, or missing baffle restores proper tumbling, reduces thumping noises, and helps prevent fabric snags. What it does:

  • Lifts and separates items for even tumbling and better circulation through the load
  • Helps prevent clothes from balling up or riding the drum wall
  • Common symptoms of failure: rattling/thumping, poor tumbling, visible cracks, or a missing vane
  • Broken edges or loose mounting can snag items inside the drum
What's included:
  • 1 drum baffle
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; follow model-specific access steps for the drum
  • Remove the old baffle by taking out mounting screws or releasing locking tabs; clear any trapped debris
  • Align the new baffle with the keyed slots and secure fasteners firmly
  • Hand-rotate the drum to verify clearance and quiet operation before reassembly

Hello Terence. To replace the drum baffle you will need to do one of 2 things. The first would be to remove the hose either from the top of the unit or the bottom of the tub and see if you can get to the screw that holds the baffle on. If not then you will need to separate the front and rear tub to get to the screw to remove.
