Joe December 17, 2013 for Model Number Gw395legq0 Took the door apart. Replaced 2 pieces of inner glass. There is another part with glass in it that holds the 2nd piece of inner glass in place and helps hold the insulation in place. It has a gap in one side of it - between the metal and it's own piece of glass. Which way does that part go back in? Gap towards the top or bottom? The diagram isn't helping... The metal around the glass is squared on one side and slightly indented on the corners of the opposite side, which I think might mean the indents (and thus the gap) go on the bottom because of the hinges. However, I wonder if the gap needs to go towards the top to help vent the unit.
1 Answer Hello Joe. Looking at the diagram, it looks like the 2 holes goes to the top and the lip rail goes to the bottom. There is no clear diagram of this. It should only fit one way into the unit. Remember to not force anything when dealing with glass. Read More...

Nmills January 19, 2013 for Model Number KESC307HBS4 I cannot seem to get the door off my oven. I have tried all the recommendations for the other ovens using this same part number but none of them seem to match mine.
1 Answer Hello, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If your door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Hope this helps you, thanks! Read More...
John December 02, 2012 for Model Number KGRC608 I need to replace inner door glass, how do I get the door off to repair glass? Thanks John
1 Answer Hello John. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Read More...
Mamac October 24, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid KERC600GWH0 I have the door off, disassembled, and ordered the glass. Is there a specific side that needs to be installed facing inward (or outward)? I have read some places online that there is a special coating on one side of the glass and you have to install it with the coating side facing a specific way. Is that how this glass is? if so, how do I tell what the coated side is and which direction to face it? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello, The service manual shows no reference as to which way the glass package is to be installed, so it will make no difference which way you install it. Read More...
