Mark July 19, 2013 for Model Number MMV4203DW00 I received an SE message for a shorted key pad. After reviewing the instructions posted by Nathan, I removed the screws for the microwave grill and the screw securing the control panel then I removed the control panel (Panl-Cntrl Part Number: AP4410699). It appears that the Cntrl-Elec (Part Number: AP4411313) is attached to the back of the control panel and the wires are attached to the Cntrl-Elec. There are no instructions of how to separate the Cntrl-Elec from the Panl-Cntrl. Is it possible that you could enlighten me please.
1 Answer Hello Mark. Remove the screws and release the clips to separate the board from the panel. Then remove the ribbon cable from the board by releasing the locking tabs. Install new panel in reverse order. Read More...
Nathan April 02, 2013 for Model Number MMV4203DW00 1 Disconnect the power to the microwave by unplugging it from the wall. 2 Locate the two screws on the microwave grill, positioned above the microwave door on over-the-range microwaves. If your Maytag microwave is a counter-top microwave, locate the four screws on the top of the microwave, possibly covered by rubber plugs which must be pried off using a flat-head screwdriver. 3 Remove the screws from the microwave grill or the top of the microwave. 4Pull the grill toward you and set it aside. If repairing a counter-top microwave, lift the panel covering the top and sides of the microwave straight up and off. 5 Locate the screw securing the control panel to the microwave. On over-the-range models it is located above the front of the control panel, and it is located on the rear of the control panel on counter-top models. Remove the screw and set aside. 6 Lift up on the control panel to loosen it from the plastic clips, then pull outward to remove the control panel. Be careful not to pull off the cables connected to the rear of the control panel. 7 Mark the correct location of the wires connected to the rear of the control panel, then remove by squeezing the tab on the connector at the end of the wires and pulling the connector away from the rear of the control panel. 8 Plug the wires that were removed from the old control panel into the new control panel. 9 Insert the new control panel into the microwave, then press down to lock it into place. Secure the control panel using the screw that was removed from the old control panel. 10 Replace the microwave cover or grill and secure it using the screws that were originally removed. 11 Restore power to the microwave to complete the installation. Ron C April 16, 2012 for Model Number mmv4203dw00 i have the above model microwave. It's trouble code I believe was f5. which I think is control panel. Just need to verify that is the case and that part # ap4410699 is the correct part for this problem..Micrwave shuts down after a few minutes after being pluged in.And gives trouble code.
1 Answer Ron, We could not find a F5 error code for the model number you supplied. That code usually indicates a failed "gas sensor" but you don't have one in your microwave. A "5E" code would indicate an issue with the control panel. The control panel (white) is W10258189 and the PCB/control board is W10258171. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
