Hello Aaron. Your model uses a pilot to light the burner. Check and see if the flame is out and needs to be re-lite. If it does not re-lite, then the pilot or valve may be bad.

Hello Robert, You don't put any Teflon tape on any compression fittings, but the connections that seal around the threads only have to have yellow Teflon tape or gas line thread compound on the threads. It is thicker and required to pass any inspections.

Hello Mike. You will need to make sure the orifices are clean on the unit. If not, that could be the issue. If you clean them, and the issue continues, you may need to replace the thermostat WP74009917 in the unit.

DLand, No, it's not a very difficult repair to make, as long as you have the proper tools (open end wrenches and or a small crescent wrench) and you need to be careful with the gas supply tubes, you don't want to twist, crack or break them. You also want to use two wrenches when tightening the fittings. and remember to turn the gas supply OFF at the wall connection, first. Thanks and Good Luck
