Jennifer May 28, 2015 for Model Number 11042934220 I am wondering if the shipping bolts that you have that are part number AP4926830 will work with my washer. The model number for my washer is 11042934220. If so, I noticed that the bolts are two different sizes. Which ones go on the top and which go on the bottom? I appreciate any help you can give as we are going to be moving cross country and I would like my washer to work when we get there. I recently paid around $400 to have the drain pump fixed so I need it to last another 4-5 years!
1 Answer Jennifer, The W10289554A shipping bolt kit will work in our Sears/Kenmore front load washer. There are different length bolts and spacers, the "short" bolts and spacers go in the top openings in the cabinet back panel and the "longer" bolt and spacers go into the lower openings in the back panel. The dryer does not require shipping bolts however, you'll need to transport the unit upright with the door taped closed and a large comforter on the inside to help stabilize the drum during transportation. 1 Answer Cheryl, the shipping bolt listed for the given washer model is part number 34001337. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued with no replacements available. If you are not traveling too far, you can place a large comforter on the inside of the washer, take the back panel off and pack around the tub with a large comforter as well and tape the door shut, and transport the washer upright.
