Darren September 11, 2012 for Model Number SF385peen The range has the correct spuds but the flame is too high. I see you have to make broiler/bake adjustments but how do you adjust the gas valve?
1 Answer Hello Darren, Assuming you are referring to the surface burners, if you remove the knob and look into the stem, you will find that it is hollow. In the bottom of the hollow stems there is a flat blade screw head. This is the adjustment. It takes an extra small screwdriver to reach it without damaging it, but if you turn it while you hold the stem, you can fine tune the flame height. As per the manufacturer, the smallest the flame can safely be is where the flame is even with the top of the burner cap. I always "puff" toward it to simulate a door or window being opened or closed. This makes sure it isn't small enough to let the flame go out when a door or window is opened or closed. You adjust the flame with it set to the lowest setting to get it right. Read More...
Terry C. August 10, 2012 for Model Number SF360BEEZ After replacing the 4 orifice spuds for the top burners are there any spuds that need to be converted for the oven burners?
1 Answer Hello Terry! You will need to flip the cap on the regulator cover to LP. You will need to also adjust the orifices on the broiler/bake burners. Bottom out the orifices and then turn back up 1 1/2 turns. Hope this helps, thanks! Read More...
