Greg October 12, 2021 for Model Number NTW46504QO Hello I replaced the suspension rods on my Amada washer due to it trying to beat its self apart checked tension by pushing down on basket it only bounced once alot better then the old ones tried a load in it and it still tries to beat its self apart what else can it be. need info.
1 Answer Greg, as the suspension rods were replaced, the unit would need to be inspected to ensure that it is level. From there, the spin basket would need to be inspected for a loose tub nut or a failing counterbalance ring. The counterbalance ring can be inspected by rotating the spin basket by hand quickly and then suddenly stopping it. If it sounds like fluid moves around, the counterbalance should be good. A.C. May 21, 2020 for Model Number MVWX700XW1 How do I know if my rods, springs, bearings and overall suspension are worn out or not? My spin cycle keeps stopping early and I believe its the basket being out of balance but upon inspection of the rod system everything looks fine.
1 Answer Hello A.C., Since there is no way to know for sure if the springs on the suspension rods have the same tension left in them, I would recommend starting with the basics. Make sure the unit is properly leveled and the leveling legs are tightened against the bottom of the cabinet of the machine. Always check for proper leveling by trying to rock the machine diagonally, front corner to rear corner. If this is good the next step is to make sure there is "water" in the balance ring of the spin basket. If the unit has lost this liquid, the unit will never spin correctly. The last thing to do is simply replace the suspension rods W10780051. Read More...
