The Glass Tray is an OEM part for Whirlpool built-in microwaves. This heat-resistant glass plate helps distribute incoming microwave energy evenly throughout cooking cycles. 

Causes include normal thermal stress cracks from rapidly changing microwave temperatures daily. Accidental impact damage is also possible if rack assemblies are mishandled.

Symptoms of a problematic glass tray include:

• Inconsistent or inadequate microwaving of certain foods
• Hotter or cooler areas noticed depending on placement
