Long tub insulation that fits the appliance's inner tub, reducing operating noise and helping stabilize temperature around the tub for quieter, more consistent performance. Replaces worn or damaged insulation to address rattles and drafts. What it does:

  • Dampens noise and vibration when insulation is torn, compressed or missing.
  • Helps limit heat loss and reduce cold spots that can cause condensation or longer warm-up times.
  • Reduces rattling or knocking caused by loose or degraded insulation.
  • Intended for specific Whirlpool tubs—verify model fit before ordering.
What's included: One long tub insulation. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power (and water supply for washers) before starting any repair.
  • Remove outer panels or drum components per the service manual; insulation may be held with clips, adhesive, or fasteners.
  • Wear gloves and a dust mask—insulation fibers can irritate skin and lungs.

Richard, A few things to check first. Make sure the water in the bottom of the tub is at least 120 dgrs.F. on the first fill of a wash cycle. Make sure the water level in the bottom of the tub is as high as the heater element,at least, after a fill and 3 to 5 minute wash. Review the loadinfg instructions of your User's Guide, make sure you're not blocking the detergent cup, so it opens proper and water can wash over the packet, and wash out the contents into the tub. Good Luck and Thanks
