Kitchenaid Dishwasher KUDF230B0 Will not dispense detergent or doesn't dispense detergent

This bi-metal actuator heats and flexes to trip the detergent cup latch during the wash cycle, releasing detergent at the proper time for effective cleaning performance. What it does:

• Heats and bends to mechanically trigger the detergent dispenser door
• Restores proper, timed detergent release during the main wash
• Common symptoms: detergent left in the cup after a cycle, dispenser door never opens, or intermittent/late opening

• One bi-metal actuator assembly

• Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
• Access from the inner door panel; remove screws to reach the dispenser area
• Transfer wires one at a time and mount the actuator in the original position
• Reassemble the door and run a test cycle to ensure proper dispenser operation
