1. Unplug dryer; remove lint screen housing & front panel.
2. Release belt tension at idler pulley; lift drum slightly to slide old belt off.
3. Loop new belt around drum, idler pulley and motor pulley (ribbed side down).
4. Re-assemble, run test cycle - enjoy quiet, consistent tumbling.

This motor pulley transfers power from the drive motor to the washer belts. The 60 Hz sizing restores the correct speed and belt tracking so the tub agitates and spins smoothly without squeal or slippage. What it does:

• Drives the belt(s) that power the washer's drive system (and on some models, the drain pump)
• Maintains the correct speed ratio for 60 Hz operation
• Worn or damaged pulley can cause belt squeal, burning rubber odor, or frayed/slipping belts
• Result in no/slow spin or agitation if the belt can't grip properly

• Access the motor, relieve belt tension, and note belt routing
• Loosen the pulley set screw and remove the old pulley from the motor shaft

This replacement idler pulley keeps the drive belt tight and tracking correctly so the drum can rotate smoothly. It restores quiet, consistent operation when the original pulley is worn or seized and causing belt slippage or noise.

• Maintains proper tension on the drive belt to enable smooth drum rotation

• Replace if the pulley wobbles, binds, or the rim/bearing is worn

• Disconnect power; if gas, shut off the gas supply
• Note belt routing, relieve tension from the idler arm, and remove the belt from the motor pulley
• Remove the retaining hardware from the old pulley, install the new pulley on the idler arm shaft, and re-tension the belt
• Manually rotate the drum to verify smooth belt tracking before reassembly and test run
