Maytag Range GCCE701 Element will not heat

The Bake Element is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. This heating element is responsible for providing the necessary heat for baking and roasting by distributing heat evenly throughout the oven cavity, ensuring consistent cooking results.

• Visible signs of damage such as burns, blisters, or breaks in the element

• Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance; allow the oven to cool completely
• Remove oven racks, take out element mounting screws, and gently pull the element forward to access the wires
• Transfer the wires one at a time; ensure terminals are fully seated and do not let wires slip back into the insulation
• Reinstall the element without bending it, tighten screws snugly, restore power, and test the Broil cycle
