Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 Will not agitate or doesn't agitate

The Drive Clutch Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. As an integral transmission component, it includes the clutch that engages the drive motor to rotate the central agitator or impeller. 

Causes of a bad clutch kit include worn parts that have aged from repeated use. Signs include slipping, grinding, or clicking noises from the transmission area.

Install notes

• Unplug power; turn off water
• Tip the washer back; remove the bottom shield/cover if present
• Route the belt over the motor and drive pulleys; rotate by hand to seat fully
• Inspect pulleys/drive parts for wear; run a spin or calibration test after install
