Part Number: WP2313917
This single-solenoid water inlet valve controls the flow of water from your home supply into the refrigerator's water system, typically feeding the ice maker. A failing valve can stop fill, cause slow or inconsistent fills, or allow unwanted seepage.

- Electrical failure (open coil) or mineral debris can keep the valve from opening or closing properly
- Restores proper water fill and reliable shutoff when replaced
What's included: 1 single-solenoid water inlet valve Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Relieve line pressure and place a towel or pan to catch residual water
- Label or photograph tubing and wires for correct reassembly; cut plastic tubing square and fully seat it
- Restore water and power, then check all connections for leaks

Ice maker not making ice Mark P. • Austin , TX • July 17, 2014
I replaced the valve which allows water to enter the ice maker. I received a quote from a local appliance repair company. To come out and replace this valve, the cost was in excess of $300. Buying the valve and replacing it myself was less than $40 and took about 15 minutes to swap out.

This is a replacement ice maker assembly kit for refrigerators. The ice maker is responsible for several different functions. It catches water from the inlet valve and holds it while it freezes into ice cubes. When the cubes are frozen, the ice maker rotates and the cubes dump into the tray below. Ice makers include a number of moving parts and can suffer from significant wear and tear over time. Eventually, gears will wear down, electrical contacts may corrode, and the entire assembly will need to be replaced. Signs the ice maker needs to be replaced include water leaking into the ice tray and no ice being made. Replacing the ice maker assembly will require unplugging the refrigerator, turning off the water, and accessing the freezer. Disconnect the water line, then locate the mounting screws and remove them. Remove the old ice maker and replace it with the new one. This is a genuine OEM part manufactured by LG. It is sold individually.

Missed good old fashioned ice trays Cheryl S. • Mesa , AZ • September 30, 2018
Just missed having decent ice trays. The only ones I could find were either:
1. Expensive
2. Flimsy - only lasted a couple of months
3. Silicone-bottomed that half the compartments leak after a few uses
These are the wonderful old fashioned kind that are easy to use and last forever. Just didn’t think I’d find them again!
