Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. I utilized your videos. The pump video implied if the leak was ignored? You would have to cut the pump off, which was what I did. The impeller also had to be cut down to the plastic collar on the motor shaft, which I used a handheld chop grinder to get through the plastic collar without damaging the shaft, because of the neglect on the leak the motor shaft had to be filed and sandpapered to accept the new pump. I ordered the part and replaced it myself. Saved me having to pay a repairman. I looked up my washer by model number online and was able to find a diagram of my machine. I simply used the diagram to know what parts went into position on my machine. Removed the knobs then, a few screws and and the wiring connector.
