This authentic OEM replacement fuel line works to transfer fuel from the tank to the carburetor. Over time, these fuel lines age and may need to be removed and replaced. During routine maintenance, the fuel line may show signs of wear, such as having cracks that allow fuel to seep through. This is normal deterioration and indicates that the fuel line needs to be removed and replaced. The cracks may not be evident to the naked eye. However, if there are cracks or leaks in the fuel line, the fuel will not get to the carburetor efficiently, which will be evident in the engine sputtering or not idling properly. Removal and replacement require a screwdriver. Any fuel in the tank should be emptied prior to working on the fuel line. Use the screwdriver to remove the clamps holding the fuel line in place. Remove the old fuel line and clamps. Put the new fuel line and clamps in place. Tighten the clamps enough to hold the line taut. Do not overtighten, or the line could be damaged. This fuel line is sold individually. It is for use with Briggs and Stratton engines. It comes with the clamps needed for installation.
This is a genuine OEM replacement float needle valve sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is part of the carburetor on various lawn and garden small engines. The float needle valve floats in the carburetor float bowl to control fuel flow into the carburetor. As the bowl's fuel level goes down, the float valve needle also goes down, eventually blocking flow when the bowl is empty and thus signaling the need for more fuel. The float valve needle may stick or erode over time and need to be replaced. If the engine is not idling, stalls or hesitates, or is misfiring, the float valve needle may be the culprit. A socket set and wrench set are required for the removal and replacement. This project takes between thirty minutes and an hour. Empty the fuel from the fuel tank and carburetor before starting the project. Make sure the engine is cool and that the spark plug has been removed before starting. This float needle valve is made of high-quality metal and durable rubber and is sold as an individual part. The float valve does not come with the retainer clip. The valve is compatible with chippers, shredders, tillers, and other small engines manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, and Vanguard.
