This water level switch senses the dishwasher's tub float and controls the water inlet. Replacing a worn switch restores correct filling, helping prevent overfilling or dry cycles that can reduce cleaning performance. What it does:

I called and talked to a customer service rep and she helped me troubleshoot the problem and order the correct part. She also sent me the pdf of the repair manual and I followed its instructions to replace the drain solenoid. It was a fairly easy repair. I wasn't sure if I would need the water level control switch, but I ordered it to be on the safe side. Turns out the original is still good. Read more

For belt driven models
These springs work great but I did find some issues when installing them. Here's what I did: 1) Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker or fuse panel. Once you remove the kick panel there are a lot of exposed wires that carry live power. 2) Remove the kick panel. There are 4 screws (on mine one was missing). A nut driver makes it much easier. Had to pull dishwasher out about 2 inchs and put the new spring on. It was a little difficult getting things lined back up. But I finished ok. Now the door is ok. Read more
Replaced the broken spring with a new one after watching a you tube video on how to go about it. I didn't have to pull out my dishwasher to to the repair. That saved a lot of time to do the repair. Read more
