I ordered the replacement Cover and it arrived within 10 days. I was told that it was easy to remove the old cover and reapply the new one. I didn't believe that would be possible. However, today I removed the old one (had to use a hair dryer because the old one was brittle) and it came right off (also used a putty knife to get under the edge). Putting the new one on was not the problem that I had imagined. Was careful and lined up the top to the top of the Module, and then pressed it on. ... Read more

Replace both thee the dispenser lever and the housing as both had broken tabs. Took about 45 minutes. Pretty straight forward repair. Easy enough that you can simply look at it to see how it comes apart. Tip: to get main panel off, remove 3 screws under drip tray then the panel slides up to come off door. Read more
I checked with Appliance Parts Pros.com and found out that the likely culprit was a broken Ice Dispenser Actuator Arm. I watched a video on the same site and figured I could change that part. I wanted to confirm it was that part so I took the front section apart. The Ice Dispenser Actuator Arm was in fact broken; the little tab that strikes the switch had broken off. For the actuator, I took off the dispenser plate, removed 3 screws holding the actuator. Flipped it over to remove the brackets holding the actuator. Removed old actuator and installed new one, put the bracket back on and then flipped over put the three screws in and put the dispenser plate back on. Took me 30 minutes. The door bin just snapped in the door. Read more
