The spark plug helps to start the engine by creating the spark that will cause the fuel to ignite in the engine during combustions. Over time, the spark plugs will become worn down and go bad. Multimeters are typically used to test the spark plugs. However, owners should also regularly look at the spark plugs to search for signs of corrosion that could indicate they are going to go bad. If they are not functioning properly, the engine will not fire and start. They will need to be replaced. This is an OEM replacement part that can be used on a range of small engines and lawn equipment from many brands. Compatible brands include Toro, Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Simplicity, and Snapper.
