This burner head is used on gas ranges to provide the cooking heat. The burner head is attached to the burner tube assembly that supplies the gas. When the burner is ignited, the holes in the burner head produce the flame that is used for cooking. Over time, food spills and normal corrosion may cause the holes in the burner head to become clogged or damaged. If this occurs, food will not cook evenly, or the burner may not ignite.
