The Gasket Assembly Door is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. This gasket forms a seal around the refrigerator door, preventing warm air from entering and cool air from escaping, thus maintaining optimal temperature inside the refrigerator.
Causes of a bad gasket assembly can include wear and tear over time, damage from frequent opening and closing of the door, or degradation from exposure to various elements. A compromised gasket can lead to inefficiency in the refrigerator's cooling performance.
Symptoms of a bad gasket assembly include:
- Warm air entering the refrigerator
- Increased energy consumption
- Frost buildup inside the refrigerator
- The door not sealing properly or being difficult to close
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
