So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. Please Note: The Sears/Kenmore parts diagram shows this part to be a 8 inch refrigerator door shelf. However, this piece is actually 16 inches in length. If you need the 8 inch shelf, you will need to order 5004JJ1030A.
I replaced the evaporator fan motor, defrost thermostat & circuit board. I replaced the fan motor since it did not operate. While i was in there making the repair i read online it was beneficial to replace the defrost thermostat. Before i ordered i checked to see if fan motor was getting power and it was not so i deducted that the circuit board was not supplying power. I ordered several parts but wanted the refrigerator temperature sensor to try it first. It was put on backorder. I did receive it plus one more that I didn’t order. I sent the second one back.
