The Tank is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch bottom-freezer refrigerator models. Containing chilled water for temperature regulation, its sturdy plastic construction withstands years of daily use. Proper functioning helps maintain consistent cooling performance.
Symptoms of a faulty tank involve leaks compromising refrigeration. Mineral deposits impeding circulation or cracking from prolonged interior exposures require replacement.
Causes of a bad tank can involve splits from impact incidents during delivery and installation posing internal damage risks. Regular mineral accumulation also impacts circulation necessitating periodic cleaning.
Causes of a bad tank include:
- Fluctuating interior temperatures and compromised cooling
- Water puddles developing around the refrigerator base
- Ice formations in compartments affecting usability
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with some Thermador, Blomberg, and Dacor bottom-freezer refrigerator models.
