This replacement part is a guide clip, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This guide clip is typically found on dryers, and there are usually multiple clips on one appliance to ensure the panels are secure. These clips help hold the front panel in place and secure so that it does not come off during the drying cycle and the machine sometimes shakes. A new guide clip might be needed if the front panel of the dryer is off balance or not attached correctly. It is possible that the clips can become loose over time or during transport if the appliance was banged or damaged.
