Originally tried replacing the main control board (steady green LED) on my PDT825SSJ2SS and didn't solve. Main symptom was dishwasher kept turning on and off on it's own every few minutes until the DW finally died and became unresponsive. I was able to slide the washer out of the cabinet to access the the cable. I installed the end of the cable on the spring the put the other end of the cable onto the door. The parts fit perfectly and the project was accomplished in a short time. Read more

First, I took the whole thing apart and cleaned every spot...the main culprit seemed to be the float. It was pretty gunked up and seemed to be not working...after a good cleaning it was fine...but once I pulled the unit out and checked underneath I noticed the heating element was loose, leaking, and had burnt off the blade connecting ire.
