Kenmore Elite dryer stopped functioning. Bruce B. • Lone Tree , CO • November 01, 2021
I found the Appliance Parts Pros website and WOW! I am very grateful that I found the website! I called the phone number on the website and there was a woman who took my call and was extremely helpful with helping me determine an optimal course of action. She advised that I follow the video that was on the website to verify that I needed a dryer belt. This had been my assumption up until the time I had spoken with her. but I was not basing my assumption base on seeing that I needed a new dryer...

The Dryer Drum Roller Axle is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by offering support and an axis for the drum roller to spin smoothly. This guarantees effective and balanced tumbling of clothes throughout the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle can include prolonged use leading to wear and tear, accumulation of lint and debris causing additional friction, or improper loading of the dryer drum which can bend or strain the axle.
Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle include:
- Unusual noises, such as squeaking or grinding, during the operation
- The dryer drum struggling to turn or not turning at all
- Increased vibration or shaking of the dryer unit
- Clothes taking longer to dry or not drying evenly
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Dryer squealing on startup Sandy R. • Manhattan , KS • September 08, 2015
I replaced the belt, belt tension pulley, both dryer drum roller axles and both drum support rollers. Although I bought 2 tumbler bearing kits, because those still look good I am saving them for when they go bad. The videos were fantastic! I also took pictures as I went of wiring so there would be no question where things went when reassembling. It should be noted some models have extra terminals near the sensor terminals... just be aware and look closely/take pics as you are taking things...

Problem was solenoid (coil) not allowing gas flow for re-ignite. Since there are 3 coils in this Maytag dryer, all 3 should be replaced at the same time. The Maytag model number is HDG-308. Parts arrived in 2 days with standard shipping. Follow the directions supplied with the kit and you should have no problem with this easy...

This small hardware washer serves as a spacer/bearing surface within appliance assemblies to distribute load and maintain proper clearance. Replacing a worn washer helps restore smooth operation and alignment of the affected control or mechanism. What it does:
- Distributes fastener load and protects mating surfaces
- Maintains correct spacing to prevent rubbing or binding
- Provides a smooth bearing surface to reduce friction and noise
- Common symptoms when worn or missing: looseness, scraping sounds, difficult or rough turning, misalignment
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power; shut off gas or water if applicable
- Note the stack order and orientation before removal
- Inspect the mating fastener/shaft for wear and replace related parts if damaged
- Reassemble and tighten fasteners snugly—do not overtighten—then test for smooth operation

Dryer paddle fell off due to stripped screws Morgan D. • Woodinville , WA • July 29, 2021
This was my first ever self appliance repair. The videos provided by Appliance Parts Pros were excellent and gave me the confidence to do the work myself. My Maytag dryer model opened differently than the one in the videos. I had to remove the front panel and screwing in the paddle required reaching way back and working in a small space where I couldn't see what I was doing. It was uncomfortable but doable with a nut driver and a bit of elbow grease. The part fit perfectly and it looks good as...

Making loud squealing sound when dryer was turned on Michael M. • Plainfield , IL • November 19, 2018
Took the front panel off (the door front), disconnected the connector to the door switch and used a wooden clothespin to bypass the door switch. Turned on the dryer to locate loud squeaking sound and found it was coming from the motor area. When I started to take the blower section apart from the motor, that is when I saw the "blower wheel" slipped off the motor shaft. The blower wheel has a "C" clip retainer and compression ring to keep it snug on the motor shaft (but it was loose). Now I...
