I spoke with the experts at parts pro and they suspected the main power board. I ordered the main power board along with the control panel. Since I was taking everything apart I decided to replace other components as well- thermostats, thermistor , sensor wire. When I was all done the old LG was back to working like new. Due to burnt wires, the whole wire harness had to be replaced as well as the power cord. The dryer was taken apart, removing the control panel and drum to access all of the wires and connection points. The old wire harness removed and the new wire harness installed. This was done systematically so as to ensure the new wire harness followed the exact same routing. Read more
