Thawed out original mechanism, but problem persisted. Ordered an entire assembly replacement instead of trying to diagnose specific issue. Took old one out, popped new one on. Fixed. Read more
Appliance Parts Pros was the ONLY place on the internet that had this particular part. They saved me from getting a whole new fridge.
