I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Replaced faulty rack switch. to do this I had to do the following: 1. Turn off power and gas. 2. Pull out range. 3. Removed a zillion screws on the left cover plate and heat shields. 4. Removed rack switch retaining screw inside oven. 5. Unplugged existing switch and confirmed bad (no continuity). 6. Installed new switch. 7. reverse order steps to complete. Read more
