I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Replaced the stove regulator and damaged burner cap. I also replaced a couple of burner screws. We have had the electolux range for 14 years. The burner screws had seized and could not be removed without breaking. The 18k burner is now working fine. I did not replace the valve, but may do that in the future instead of returning the part.
